Arizona Coast Radiology

Arizona Coast Radiology, AZ

“We have had a great response with this new MRI here at AZ Coast Radiology. The patients love the look of the scanner and how wide and bright it appears.

Patients have said how comfortable it is to have their scan done in the wide bore; we have successfully scanned several claustrophobic and large patients.

Patients comment on how quietly the scanner operates, often acknowledging that due to the scanner’s lower noise level, they could hear the music through their headphones during the scan.

They also like the speed in which their scans are completed.” *

“As an older tech who has only worked MRI with one vender, I was a little anxious about learning a new system. However, I was pleasantly surprised with how tech friendly the platform was to learn. Within a few days, I felt comfortable enough to scan by myself. Of course it helped to have a great applications technologist to learn from.

The layout of the coils, size of the bore, and the quietness of the scans increased the comfort for the patients. I have had several comments from patients saying it was one of the best MRI experiences they had.

As far as image quality, it is great, on par with the 3 Tesla that this 1.5 unit replaced. With the use of AiCE, you get more detail with a decrease in time which not only helps diagnostically but also with patient comfort.” *

“The abdomen imaging capabilities have been the greatest improvement in quality of images and shorter scan times. There is a great confidence in the detail of the scans, which gives patients a local option to be diagnosed and treated.

The wider bore has made imaging larger patients not only possible but comfortable for them to get the MRI scans that they need.

The brain and spine scans are your most frequent scans. The increased quality while still having shorter scans due to the use of AiCE, is a win for both patients and our ability to add emergency scans onto our schedule when needed.

The five minute brain scan has been utilized for stroke patients from the ER. This had made diagnostic information available faster so the patient can be treated faster. This feature has also been useful on patients that had a hard time holding still for their exam. This means they are able to get diagnostic scans done locally and without full sedation, which was not an option before.” *
