53-year-old female underwent head endovascular treatment. A follow-up head CTA was performed. The high attenuation material used for treatment causes extensive streak artifact. SEMAR, Single Energy Metal Artifact Reduction was applied to the scan. 3D Volume Rendered and Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR) demonstrate minimized artifact caused by the metallic implant. SEMAR provides better visualization of the soft tissue and vasculature surrounding it.

41-year-old female presented with headaches and family history of brain aneurysms. A head CT without contrast followed by a CT Angiogram with SURESubtraction was requested to rule out the presence of an aneurysm. 3D Volume Rendered, Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR) and Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP) demonstrate an aneurysm arising from the right ICA. SURESubtraction shows with clarity the aneurysm free from overlying bone.

A dynamic 4D CTA DSA and whole brain perfusion was performed. Dynamic Volumetric 3D Volume Rendered and Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP) demonstrate an extracranial supraorbital arteriovenous malformation (AVM). 3D VR and Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR) cerebral perfusion maps are also demonstrated.
