TUSTIN, Calif., June 30, 2011 – Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. announced today that Guy Poloni, Ph.D., has been named product manager for the Vantage Titan™ 3T MR system. In his new position, Poloni will develop and implement product marketing strategies and programs for the system, and will play an integral role in the launch of the product, which is currently pending 510(k) clearance.
“Guy’s experience in theoretical physics and sequence development makes him an ideal candidate as we prepare to launch the Vantage Titan 3T, and will help ensure success of the system in the marketplace,” said Stuart Clarkson, director, MR Business Unit, Toshiba.
Prior to joining Toshiba, Poloni worked as Sequence Development Unit Director at Buffalo Neuroimaging Center at The Jacobs Neurological Institute in Buffalo, N.Y. Poloni has received numerous research fellowships and has co-authored multiple articles for medical journals, such as The Neurologist and European Journal of Paediatric Neurology. He holds a doctorate and a master’s degree in theoretical physics and a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Milan in Italy.
