CHICAGO, Dec. 2, 2010 – As hospitals obtain new imaging equipment, it is essential to train and educate staff to ensure that they are able to use advanced technologies to help diagnose patients. A carefully planned and in-depth program is necessary to allow staff to stay at the forefront of medical imaging technology. Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. recognizes the importance of quality, in-depth education and guarantees customer satisfaction with the Performance Pro education approach.
When a system is purchased, Toshiba works with customers to tailor an education plan that ensures technical success, taking into account current operations and the facility’s objectives for the future. With the Performance Pro education approach, the customer is an active participant in the creation of its training program. Decisions are made collaboratively, and the training plan is co-developed with a commitment from both parties. Toshiba’s Three Phase training program remains a key part of the plan however, what is included in the three phases can differ depending on the customer’s unique needs. For example, with Toshiba’s premium products, two applications specialists work on-site directly with both technologists and physicians to ensure optimal operation of the equipment and to teach advanced techniques.
At the end, Performance Pro comes with a special feature. If a customer has followed the co-developed approach and is not completely satisfied with the training, the Performance Pro plan ensures that Toshiba will work with the site to add additional education at no charge and make certain that the staff is empowered to utilize the equipment to its optimum potential.
“Proper training is key to ensuring that our customers understand our technology and are able to use it to better serve patients,” said Sharon Yoon, director, Education and Sales Support, Toshiba. “Performance Pro is a unique approach, with the promise of technical proficiency and optimal productivity.”
Toshiba’s Performance Pro education plan is available now. To learn more about Performance Pro, visit the Toshiba booth at this year’s Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting, held in Chicago, Nov. 28 – Dec. 3, 2010 (Booth #3435, South Hall).
