CHICAGO, Nov. 28, 2010 – When it comes to imaging technology training, one size does not fit all. Often, a standard education plan may not meet all of a site’s needs to ensure that the staff is able to utilize the equipment to its fullest potential. Understanding each customer has unique needs, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. has enhanced its Performance Plus program to include a customized approach, allowing the customer to partner with Toshiba and co-develop their education plan to address short-term and long-term strategies.
Performance Plus is an education plan that allows customers to keep abreast of the latest protocols throughout the lifespan of their Toshiba product. With visits to Toshiba’s Education Center in Irvine, Calif., online courses or in-person training at their facility, customers are able to create a customized education plan to ensure that their technologists receive the training they feel is necessary for the site’s specific needs.
“We wanted to offer our customers a different approach to education,” said Sharon Yoon, director, Education and Sales Support, Toshiba. “It is important that we work to create a strategy that will optimize our customers’ ongoing learning and empower them to use their equipment to its fullest potential to best serve patients.”
By looking at the number of systems purchased and the amount of technologists who require training, Toshiba representatives will work with each customer to plan their ongoing training that will continue throughout the life of the system. By utilizing this flexible approach, plans can later be changed or updated to fit evolving requirements. The Performance Plus plan is particularly beneficial as hospital staff and technology change so that staff can stay up-to-date.
Toshiba’s enhanced Performance Plus plan is now available. To learn more about Performance Plus, visit the Toshiba booth at this year’s Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting, held in Chicago, Nov. 28 – Dec. 3, 2010 (Booth #3435, South Hall).
