TOSHIBA MR, CT AND ULTRASOUND NAMED BEST IN KLAS IN 2007

KLAS Top 20 Year-End 2007 Report Marks Toshiba’s Commitment to Excellence

TUSTIN, California — March 6, 2008 — KLAS recently named Toshiba’s Aquilion® 64, Xario™ and Vantage 1.5T MR “Best in KLAS” in its Top 20 Year-End Report for 2007. This recognition for leadership in working with customers to maintain satisfaction, gives Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. the top ratings in the CT, MR and ultrasound categories. Furthermore, Toshiba outpaced all other medical equipment vendors by securing the most number one medical equipment rankings in 2007.

“We are extremely proud of our KLAS rankings because it demonstrates Toshiba’s commitment to making sure its customers are satisfied with our systems and support” said Larry Dentice, senior vice president and general manager, Toshiba. “Ensuring that the medical community is able to use our equipment to its full capacity means patients are getting better care. In the end, that’s the real reward.”

In both CT and Ultrasound, Toshiba continues to hold both the number one and two spots for the Aquilion 64, Aquilion 16, Xario and Aplio systems. Toshiba maintained its number one position in MR with the Vantage 1.5T. Nearly 100 percent of respondents in all three segments said Toshiba keeps its promises and they will buy Toshiba products in the future.

At the conclusion of each year, KLAS’ Top 20 summarizes vendor performance rankings for software, professional services, and medical equipment. A Best in KLAS ranking is given to each vendor who scores the highest position in its category. In 2006, Toshiba’s Aquilion 64-slice CT and Vantage 1.5T MR received top KLAS rankings. 2007 was the first year for a Best in KLAS award in Ultrasound.
