SEMAR, Skull to Mid-Thigh Scan
Celesteion™ PUREViSION Edition PET/CT
Male with history of head and neck cancer and bilateral hip replacement surgery. 6.85 mCi of F-18 FDG was administered and skull to mid-thigh PET/CT scanning performed. AIDR 3D, Adaptive Iterative Dose Reduction and SEMAR, Single Energy Metal Artifact Reduction were integrated into the CT protocol and automatically reconstructed. Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR) comparison images show reduced metal artifact and improved visualization of surrounding tissue on both the CT and PET/CT fused images.

Hodgkin's Lymphoma
Celesteion™ PUREViSION Edition PET/CT
17-year-old male with history of Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Following the administration of 6.9 mCi of F-18 FDG a dedicated PET/CT study was obtained from the skull to mid-thigh. Low dose CT images were reconstructed using integrated AIDR 3D, Adaptive Iterative Dose Reduction. PET images were reconstructed using baseline OSEM (Ordered-Subsets Expectation Maximization) + TOF (Time of Flight), as well as OSEM + TOF + PSF Point Spread Function. PET images show improved image quality using OSEM + PSF + TOF reconstruction.
