80-year-old female, status post bilateral total hip replacement surgery. A CT scan of the pelvis was performed with SEMAR, Single Energy Metal Artifact Reduction. Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR) demonstrates SEMAR images with reduced metal artifact. It allows physicians to better evaluate the prosthesis positioning and the tissues in the adjacent areas.
