Toshiba Medical Research Institute USA, Inc. (TMRU) Receives WorldatWork Work-Life 2016 Seal of Distinction

TMRU Recognized for Outstanding Commitment to Employee Engagement and Work-Life Effectiveness

WASHINGTON, D.C., May 24, 2016 – WorldatWork, a nonprofit HR association and compensation authority, is proud to announce that Toshiba Medical Research Institute USA, Inc. (TMRU) has earned the Work-Life Seal of Distinction for 2016. The seal is a unique mark of excellence designed to identify organizational success in work-life effectiveness. TMRU is one of 116 organizations honored as a 2016 recipient. On March 9, a Gala Awards Dinner was held at the WorldatWork 2016 Future of Work Forum in New Orleans to celebrate all Seal of Distinction honorees.

“One of the three main internal initiatives for 2015 at Toshiba Medical Research Institute USA, Inc. (TMRU) was to continue to cultivate an environment where our team members consider us to be a ‘Best Place to Work/Employer of Choice,’” said Fred Friedberg, chairman of the board, TMRU, Toshiba America Medical Systems (TAMS) and Toshiba Medical Visualization. “Receiving the Seal of Distinction Award demonstrates our commitment to a culture of fairness, respect, self-fulfillment and dedication to excellence in support of our most valuable assets—our team members, as well as our stakeholders.”

Begun in 2012, the prestigious Seal of Distinction measures the overall strength of organizations’ work-life portfolio and success in creating positive work environments. Applicants are evaluated on work-life programs, policies and practices that meet the needs and challenges facing employees today.
