Toshiba’s Dose Tracking System Named Best Radiology Software by AuntMinnie.com

Dose Management Software Helps Clinicians Visualize Their Way to Safer Imaging

TUSTIN, Calif., Oct. 31, 2014 – The radiology community recognized Toshiba’s innovative Dose Tracking System (DTS) as it received the 2014 Minnies Award for Best Radiology Software from AuntMinnie.com. The award acknowledges the dose management optimizing tool, which helps deliver a safe and high-quality interventional exam for patients and staff.

A groundbreaking technology on Toshiba’s Infinix™ cardiovascular X-ray systems, DTS provides clinicians a way to monitor radiation exposure using detailed, easy-to-read human mapping. A wide variety of realistic patient models and relative movement tracking allows DTS to gauge the distribution of radiation on the patient skin and avoid issues such as overexposure. Real-time feedback provides skin dose information during procedures and allows the physician to make real-time adjustments, while recently expanded bi-plane (frontal and lateral) coverage increases system utilization.
