Kalare Offers High Image Quality and Flexibility to Meet Clinical Needs
TUSTIN, Calif., July 21, 2014 – To offer pre- and postoperative care to patients all within one dedicated unit, Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital installed its third KalareTM X-ray system from Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. This system was installed in the recently renovated gastrointestinal (GI) lab and will allow Nacogdoches to meet clinical needs by expanding itsservices to patients with digestive disorders and improve the patient experience with shorter exams.
“We’ve been long-term partners with Toshiba and have experienced their tailored service and support with two existing Kalare X-rays,” said Freddie Gibson, director, Medical Imaging Services, Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. “When we needed a new X-ray for our renovated GI lab, it was a no-brainer to select Toshiba’s Kalare. The Kalare is extremely user-friendly and offers outstanding image quality, making exams easier for technologists to perform and provide more accurate diagnoses in less time.”
Toshiba’s Kalare R&F X-ray is designed with a “one system” approach, providing full-featured system utility to handle a diverse patient load while helping staff perform more exams with ease, comfort and speed. The Kalare combines a user interface and feature set with true all-digital imaging for fluoroscopic and radiographic examinations. Its high resolution and removable, large field-of-view digital detector allow all-digital images to be captured and displayed instantly on dedicated digital workstations.
“Purchasing imaging equipment is a significant investment for any healthcare facility,” said David Sloop, director, X-ray Vascular Business Unit, Toshiba. “That’s why it’s important for hospitals to not only select the most advanced technology, but purchase equipment from a company that puts its customers first in offering service, training and education throughout the life of the system.”
