TOSHIBA’S VANTAGE TITAN 3T MR DEMONSTRATES ADVANCED WHOLE-BODY MR IMAGING

Solves Clinical, Patient Compliance Challenges of 3T MR Imaging

CHICAGO, Nov. 27, 2011 – Designed to eliminate the patient compliance challenges and poor whole-body images associated with 3T MR imaging, Toshiba has developed the Vantage TitanTM 3T MR. The new system is showcased at this year’s Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting in Chicago, Nov. 27 – Dec. 2, 2011 (Booth #5634, South Hall).

Toshiba’s Vantage Titan 3T MR produces whole-body images unlike any other 3T MR. It is equipped with advanced multi-phase RF transmission technology that reduces troublesome dielectric shading artifacts. The Vantage Titan 3T MR is ideal for hospitals that require advanced MR imaging capabilities without having to sacrifice quality body images.

Additional patient benefits and features of the Vantage Titan 3T MR include:
Large, Open Bore: Vantage Titan 3T’s 71 cm patient aperture enables hospitals to image bariatric patients with ease and provides patients with a greater feeling of openness to reduce claustrophobia.
Noise Reduction Technology: Toshiba’s exclusive PianissimoTM technology reduces exam noise by up to 33 dB(A), making the Vantage Titan 3T MR the quietest available.
Non-Contrast Imaging: Toshiba is the only company offering four generations of advanced non-contrast MRA techniques, including Fresh Blood Imaging (FBI), Contrast-free Improved Angiography (CIA), Time-Spatial Labeling Inversion Pulse (Time-SLIP) and Time Space Angiography (TSA).
Integrated Coils: Toshiba’s Atlas SPEEDERTM integrated coil technology reduces procedure time and improves the exam experience.
Intuitive M-Power User Interface: Facilitates more efficient imaging to improve departmental productivity.

“Vantage Titan 3T MR is the industry’s first 3T MR system that enables hospitals to use a single MR system to address all their clinical needs,” said Stuart Clarkson, director, MR Business Unit, Toshiba. “This system is an example of our commitment to developing technology to solve patient and clinical challenges facing the 3T market today.”
