STEPHEN BUMB JOINS TOSHIBA AS DIRECTOR OF X-RAY VASCULAR BUSINESS UNIT

TUSTIN, Calif., April 6, 2011 – Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. announced today that Stephen Bumb has been named director, X-ray Vascular Business Unit. As the new director, Bumb is responsible for implementing strategic and tactical marketing plans to drive growth. He will also interface with the global business unit at Toshiba Medical Systems Corporation to communicate the needs and requirements of the U.S. market.

“Stephen brings to Toshiba a depth of marketing knowledge and experience in the medical industry, making him an excellent leader and a great addition to our team,” said Doug Ryan, vice president, Marketing and Strategic Development, Toshiba. “He has a proven track record of success in the medical industry and will be instrumental in further growing Toshiba’s market share in the XR/VL business.”

Prior to joining Toshiba, Bumb was the marketing director for Edwards Lifesciences Critical Care in Irvine, Calif. In his time there, he was key in the development and operation of a comprehensive, nationwide clinician education program, the re-engineering of the company’s sales training program and development of a new sales channel, contributing to a 30 percent annual growth in year five for two new market development-stage products. He has also held executive positions at Imagyn Medical Technologies and Vascular Control Systems.
