TOSHIBA INTRODUCES NEW ADVANCED COURSES AT ITS EDUCATION CENTER

Advanced CT Imaging and Advanced Non-Contrast MRA Classes Now Offered at Toshiba’s Education Center

CHICAGO, Dec. 3, 2010 – As advanced applications for imaging technology continue to develop at a fast pace, it is critical that the medical community have access to education opportunities to enhance the use of these new tools. Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc.’s Education Center in Irvine, Calif., is now offering two new classes: “Advanced CT Imaging for Technologists” and “Advanced Non-Contrast MRA” to educate technologists on the latest applications available with their state-of-the-art Toshiba technology.

“Toshiba is committed to providing customer education throughout our products’ life cycles and through the course of our customer relationships,” said Sharon Yoon, director, Education and Sales Support, Toshiba. “With these new advanced class offerings, we hope to expand the knowledge of technologists already familiar with our systems so that they provide the best possible diagnoses and care to their patients.”

The Advanced CT Imaging for Technologists class is based on the Aquilion® 16, 32 and 64 systems. It is a three-day course offered quarterly that covers Dose Management Tools, Cardiac Review, SURETechnologies and Cerebral Blood Perfusion. The class is intended for those technologists with general experience using Toshiba’s CT equipment.

The Advanced Non-Contrast MRA course is also being offered at the Education Center. This two-day class covers Time-SLIP imaging, FASE – Black Blood Imaging, Steady State Free Precession, Contrast Improved Angiography and Fresh Blood Imaging. Also for technologists with experience using Toshiba MR systems, this class is focused on continuing education in non-contrast techniques.

Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. will provide more information on the Advanced CT Imaging for Technologists and the Advanced Non-Contrast MRA classes at this year’s Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting in Chicago, Nov. 28 – Dec. 3, 2010 (Booth #3435, South Hall).
