TUSTIN, Calif., Aug. 12, 2010 – Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. announced today that Stuart Clarkson has been named director, MR Business Unit. As the new director, Clarkson will be responsible for implementing tactical and strategic marketing plans to drive growth and profitability. He will also interface with Toshiba’s global business unit at Toshiba Medical Systems Corporation (TMSC) in Japan to communicate the needs and requirements of the U.S. market.
“With nearly 25 years of experience, Stuart has a proven track record of success in the MR industry,” said Doug Ryan, vice president, Marketing and Strategic Development, Toshiba. “Stuart’s knowledge of MR products and the market make him an excellent addition to the Toshiba organization.”
Clarkson’s career includes positions in MR applications, MR sales and marketing and MR product development. Most recently, Clarkson was the Americas 3T MRI Product manager at GE Healthcare in the U.S., where he oversaw the launch of new MR products. Clarkson also studied accounting at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland, in addition to applied science at Curtin University, Perth, Australia.
