TOSHIBA AMERICA MEDICAL SYSTEMS HONORED BY PREMIER HEALTHCARE ALLIANCE FOR EXCEEDING PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

TUSTIN, Calif., June 9, 2010 – Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc., today announced that it is a winner of the Supplier Performance Award, presented by the Premier healthcare alliance.

Premier contracts with more than 800 suppliers and Toshiba America Medical Systems is one of 65 contracted suppliers to receive the Performance Award. Winners are recognized for their outstanding management of Premier agreements and drive toward the mutual goal of providing clinical and financial value to the not-for-profit hospital members of the Premier alliance.

“Being recognized by Premier with the Supplier Performance Award underscores the advances in medical imaging technology Toshiba is delivering to the marketplace,” said Doug Larm, vice president, Enterprise Business Group at Toshiba. “Toshiba develops medical imaging equipment to meet the clinical and financial demands of today’s healthcare environment by supplying technology to improve patient care and diagnostic confidence while lowering overall healthcare costs.”

Awards were presented at the 2010 Premier Annual Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition in Washington. The award ceremony was held at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center on Wednesday, June 9.

“The Performance Award honors Premier valued suppliers that strive for collaboration and performance excellence to benefit the alliance and we are honored to recognize these top performers,” said Premier Purchasing Partners president Mike Alkire.

Premier’s Performance Award applauds the efforts of contracted suppliers to meet and exceed operational expectations. In selecting recipients, satisfaction and performance data are collected and scored over four successive calendar quarters. Feedback is provided during regular supplier business line reviews. Organizations scoring 80 percent or higher earn the Performance Award.
