CHICAGO — November 29, 2007 — Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc., a diagnostic imaging leader dedicated to furthering medical education, today announced enhancements to the Toshiba Learning Center Web site — www.ToshibaLearningCenter.com. The Web site, now in its second generation, will include online continuing medical education (CME) courses, physician courses and a section for medical articles.
“We are excited to see the evolution of the Toshiba Learning Center Web site,” said Sharon Yoon, director, Education and Sales Support, Toshiba. “The Web site has been a great tool in helping our customers prepare for courses they are taking at the Education Center in Irvine, Calif. By making accredited courses available online, Toshiba is expanding its reach to the medical community and making more resources available to physicians and technologists.”
Since introducing the Toshiba Learning Center Web site at RSNA last year, membership has grown to more than 2,000 active members, representing a variety of professions within the medical imaging industry. Through partnerships with educational experts, including CVCTA, HealthWorks and the Institute of Medical Studies, Toshiba is able to further increase the quality of the educational materials offered.
Toshiba’s Learning Center offers healthcare professionals a convenient environment in which to meet their educational needs. Toshiba’s comprehensive, blended learning curriculum is a combination of traditional and e-learning formats to accommodate multiple learning styles.
