One week of comprehensive training is held at Canon Academy following the completion of prerequisites. The Canon Academy lays the groundwork for going live at the customer’s facility. In addition to classroom instruction, hands-on experience with the newest CT, MR, and VL equipment is provided in a unique setting that mirrors the clinical environment. Attendees benefit from clinically qualified instructors and limited class size to maximize the student’s learning experience.


CT—Non-stop Performance Enhancement

The CT Clinical Education program provides training on a variety of CT theory and practical scanning using Canon's Aquilion systems. After completing this course technologists will be proficient in the following applications and operations:

  • Basic to advanced CT imaging
  • Dose Reduction Technologies
  • Use of console, menus and default scan protocols
  • Use of reconstruction parameters
  • Post-processing of image data

MR—Non-stop Performance Enhancement

The MR Clinical Education program provides the hands-on skills and knowledge required to operate the Vantage/Titan system. After completing this course, technologists will be proficient in the following applications and functions:

  • Efficient patient and coil positioning
  • Basic scans: brain, spine, shoulders and knees
  • Time-saving techniques such as user protocols
  • Proper reconstruction, display and filming techniques
  • Quality assurance test
