Bay Area Medical Center Optimizes Workflow and Improves Patient Experience with Toshiba’s Cardiovascular X-ray

Infinix Elite Improves Coverage and Provides Safer Exams for Patient and Clinician

TUSTIN, Calif., May 4, 2015 – Bay Area Medical Center (BAMC) in Marinette, Wisconsin, can now provide its patients with efficient exams that eliminate the choice between safety and image quality with the InfinixTM Elite cardiovascular X-ray system from Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. The new system allows BAMC to provide patients with best-in-class exams in both IR and cardiology, including interventional radiology, peripheral and cath lab procedures.

“When looking to update our technology, we needed flexibility without compromising image quality or the safety of our patients and staff,” said Jason Hayward, lead cardiovascular technologist at Bay Area Medical Center. “The versatility and dose management technology Toshiba offered, along with our experience with their support staff, gave us confidence that the Infinix system was the right fit.”

The Infinix Elite offers unparalleled access for safer and more efficient exams with a C-arm designed to safely move around patients and clinicians. Toshiba’s WorkRite ergonomic enhancements create a faster, more precise exam, while Spot Fluoroscopy helps manage radiation exposure.

“Toshiba’s customer-first approach means giving our partners the tools to meet patients’ needs as well as business needs,” said Bill Newsom, director, X-ray Vascular Business Unit, Toshiba. “The Infinix Elite’s improvement of workflow and patient experience, as well as Toshiba’s emphasis on experienced support, eliminates the choice between safety and quality for both patient and provider.”
