Toshiba Puts Customers First with Diagnostic Imaging Innovations

A New Product Introduction in Every Modality at RSNA

CHICAGO, Nov. 30, 2014 – Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. understands its customers’ business and is introducing a new system in every modality at RSNA, allowing its customers to provide better care more efficiently. These new products are a part of Toshiba Group’s overall commitment to healthcare that strives to control costs with more effective diagnoses and treatments.

“Better health, better healthcare and at a lower cost is the ‘triple aim’ of healthcare reform, and our new product innovations provide solutions that help our customers meet that goal,” said Nancy Gillen, vice president, Marketing and Business Management, Toshiba. “By understanding our customers’ business, we are constantly developing new technologies that facilitate faster and safer diagnoses at lower costs.”

Toshiba’s multimodality approach to innovation in patient care includes the rollout of the following products:

  • InfinixTM 4DCT system*: Challenges the status quo in minimally invasive care by seamlessly integrating CT and IR into one solution
  • AplioTM 300 and 500 Platinum Series ultrasound systems: Provides a wide range of powerful imaging and interventional tools to expand the clinical applications of ultrasound and standardize care
  • ElanTM MR system (pending 510(k) clearance): Offers outstanding image quality and patient comfort features typically found on more expensive systems and has the smallest footprint in its class
  • CelesteionTM PET/CT system: Combines high-performance PET and CT for all radiation oncology imaging needs and delivers a more comfortable exam with the industry’s largest bore
  • KalareTM Flat Panel Detector: Reduces scatter radiation by up to 95 percent with its integrated tube covers and provides high-quality images edge to edge without an increase in dose

Toshiba is unveiling these products at this year’s Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting in Chicago, Nov. 30 – Dec. 5, 2014 (Booth #7333, North Hall).
