Rush University Medical Center and Piedmont Heart Institute Show How Toshiba’s Cardiovascular X-ray Systems Improve Patient Care

Live Cases Performed Using Toshiba’s Infinix-i at TCT

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 28, 2013 – Physicians can produce more complete images while improving both patient and clinician safety with the InfinixTM-i cardiovascular X-ray systems from Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. To demonstrate these capabilities, the system will be used in two live cases at the Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) annual conference, October 27 – November 1, 2013, in San Francisco.

Two leading facilities will feature Toshiba’s systems during their live cases:

  • Rush University Medical Center, Chicago
  • Piedmont Heart Institute, Atlanta

“Cardiovascular interventional procedures require a system that is intuitive and provides the highest quality images without sacrificing patient or clinician safety,” said David Sloop, director, X-ray Vascular Business Unit, Toshiba. “Toshiba’s latest dose management features allow clinicians real-time dose optimization and superb image quality during interventions, while the multi-axis C-arm design provides unprecedented patient access for simpler procedures.”
