Toshiba’s Vantage Titan 3T MR Solves Patient and Clinical Challenges

Advanced Whole-Body MR Imaging Showcased at SCBT-MR

TUCSON, Ariz., Oct. 10, 2013 – Body imaging becomes clearer and clinicians are able to diagnose diseases in a timely manner more accurately using Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc.’s Vantage Titan™ 3T MR. Toshiba will showcase its Titan 3T MR system at this year’s Society of Computed Body Tomography & Magnetic Resonance (SCBT-MR) annual meeting in Tucson, Ariz., Oct. 12-16, 2013.

Toshiba’s Titan 3T MR produces whole-body images unlike any other 3T MR. It is equipped with advanced multi-phase RF transmission technology that reduces troublesome dielectric shading artifacts. The Titan 3T MR is ideal for hospitals that require advanced MR imaging capabilities without having to sacrifice quality body images.

“The Titan 3T overcomes the clinical limitations of traditional 3T while offering the flexibility and image quality needed to meet a wide range of applications now and in the future,” said Beverly Plost, director, MR Business Unit, Toshiba. “The system makes 3T imaging more patient friendly with a 71-cm patient aperture, Toshiba’s exclusive Pianissimo™ noise-reduction technology and proprietary non-contrast techniques for safer exams.”

Toshiba will host a Lunch & Learn Session on “Abdominal Imaging on UltraHigh Field MRI: Advantages, Challenges and Achievements” with presenter Abhijit Sunnapwar, M.D., assistant professor of Radiology, Department of Radiology, University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, Texas. The presentation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, from 11:50 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Hilton El Conquistador.
