PARK NICOLLET PARTNERS WITH TOSHIBA TO IMPROVE PATIENT CARE

Three-Year, Multimodality Agreement Puts Patient Safety First

TUSTIN, Calif., June 17, 2013 As part of a health system comprised of more than 25 health clinics and hospitals, Park Nicollet needed a diagnostic imaging partner that could help deliver quality care across exams and facilities. To meet these needs, Park Nicollet entered into a three-year multimodality agreement with Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. for all of its CT, MR and R&F purchases.

“Park Nicollet serves patients throughout the entire Minneapolis region, so it is important to work with a company whose service team keeps us up and running to best serve our patients,” said Jaime Dyba, CT and MRI supervisor, Park Nicollet. “Toshiba is a reliable partner and works closely with us to develop protocols for more confident exams.”

Park Nicollet has installed two AquilionTM PRIME 80 CT systems and upgraded its three Aquilion 64 systems with VeloCT. Additionally, Park Nicollet has purchased two Aplio™ 500 ultrasound systems for its vascular lab; a Vantage Titan™ 1.5T 8-channel system for outpatient, extremity, MRA and musculoskeletal exams; and a Kalare X-ray for general R&F exams.

“The installations and upgrades at Park Nicollet represent Toshiba’s commitment to partnering with its customers to implement advanced diagnostic imaging technologies for improved outcomes,” said Nancy Gillen, vice president, Marketing, Toshiba. “As healthcare costs continue to rise, we are committed to helping all of our customers find the best diagnostic solutions for improved workflow and returns.”
