TOSHIBA NAMES TRISH MALONE AS DIRECTOR OF FINANCIAL PROGRAMS

Malone to Lead Toshiba’s New Leasing Group to Provide Financing Solutions for Customers

TUSTIN, California — May 20, 2008 — Expanding its role in the medical imaging marketplace, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. (TAMS) has welcomed Trish Malone to the company as the director of financial programs. Malone will lead Toshiba’s new leasing group, Toshiba America Medical Credit, Inc. (TAMC). TAMC will provide Toshiba customers with optimal financing solutions including extensive financial product offerings, competitive interest rates, upgrade programs and quick credit decisions.

“Trish is a huge asset to our team as we begin building the new leasing group,” said Kevin Abbott, senior vice president, CFO and treasurer, Toshiba America Medical Systems. “Her financial expertise is going to strengthen our position in the marketplace and provide a strong resource to our sales team.”

Malone joins Toshiba from CoActiv Capital Partners, LLC, a subsidiary of the Marubeni Corporation, where she served as a senior program manager. Previously, she has held positions with CitiCapital, DVI Financial Services and the World Omni Financial Corp. She has been working in the healthcare finance industry for more than 11 years with experience at all functional levels, including credit, operations, sales, business development and program management.

“As the dedicated finance team for TAMS, TAMC’s strategy is to provide outstanding support to the TAMS sales force and their respective customers,” said Malone. “Ultimately, TAMC’s role is to offer competitive financial products to customers, increasing Toshiba’s market share and continuing to exceed our world class customer service levels. TAMC will include five regional financial sales managers, representing all areas of the country. Malone will oversee all regions. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Georgetown University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Miami.
